I just got a ton of his books (in Russian). He's a really fantastic writer, and he writes in many genres of scifi - space opera, epic fantasy, mundane scifi. And he's quite good. Just started a fantasy series that people say is one of his best, "Cold Coasts."

Another author I might be reading is Patricia Briggs. I'm stunned myself by how much urban fantasy I've been reading lately.

I second this. It's not on the same scale as Malazan, but has a similar-ish feel - 16/10/2012 05:16:05 PM 898 Views
