GRRM at a book signing in Ann Arbor 2005 after the pub of Feast. Listened to him speak and took a picture with him after he signed my books. It was cool, there were probably 200 people there. I remember he said since he had so much already written after the decision to split the book, that he would most likely be back here next year signing A Dance with Dragons. Turned out he was about 6 years too optimistic.

Met Jacqueline Carey at a small bookstore, also in Ann Arbor. Had lunch and drinks with her and four others. It was exceptional. Sitting around a small round table outside the bookstore on a beautiful summer day. Good food, good conversation. She was friendly, relaxed and open to speak of everything from her books, to music, movies, other authors, and deeper topics that came up. She signed some of my books and I got a picture with her before leaving. It was a perfect afternoon.
