Actually the movie follows the book very, very closely.

I am a huge King fan and I love everything that Frank Darabont has done with his books (Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, The Mist). I've read the book a few times and seen the movie several times, the differences are minimal though admittedly you get a better feel for the characters, especially John Coffey, in the book.
I will say this though, Michael Clarke Duncan was the most well casted actor in that film. He was perfect in that role.

I watched the movie "The Green Mile" last night on TV. I am thinking about reading the book.

Did you see the movie or read the book first, Monroe? What did you think of the movie? *NM*

I didn't enjoy reading the book, but found I couldn't put it down.
