There used to be a regular post on OF (often Announced, before abandoned earlier this year) for readers to post lists of books they recently bought or received. I think it'd be a nice thing to bring back, especially with the Christmas season coming in a few months, as perhaps something on one person's list will encourage another to purchase/acquire that book. While I usually post mine in picture form on the OF Blog, I'll copy/paste the list here. Feel free to share books that you've purchased/received recently:
Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
Jaime Martínez Tolentino, Cuentos Fantásticos
Gabriel García Márquez, Olhos de Cão Azul
Camilo José Cela, Los vasos comunicantes
Italo Calvino, The Path to the Spiders' Nests
Hayo Miyazaki, Nausicaä: Of the Valley of the Wind
J.M. Coetzee, Elizabeth Costello
Salman Rushdie, Haroun and the Sea of Stories
Salman Rushdie, Midnight's Children
Samuel Delany, Neveryóna
Robert Holdstock, Lavondyss
Don DeLillo, Cosmopolis
Nadine Gordimer, A Guest of Honour
