Would you ever be interested in reading Freud, Jung, or the others from the Austrian Schools in German? I seem to recall some interesting distortions occurred in the translation of Freud's work into English.

What about a comparison of Molière and Schiller's treatments of Don Juan (although Schiller doesn't have Don Juan as the titular character)?

Maybe some of Gide's fiction, considering how shocking some of it was a century ago?

Kleist is one that I would love to see others discuss.

Rilke for German poetry, but for French poetry, outside of Baudelaire, Rimbaud and Verlaine nothing really comes to mind for the past 170 years.

Oh, before I forget...

Damn you for getting me to post at this board again! :P

My list of French literature I've read is extremely short, so, um, Racine? Yourcenar? - 22/05/2012 08:17:49 PM 857 Views
