Orhan Pamuk
Derek Walcott
T.S. Eliot
William Butler Yeats
I will admit I've only heard of like half of those authors
I am not surprised. Many of them are quite old, but not old enough to be counted among the classics. They also represent a somewhat wider selection when it comes to languages and writing styles... Fo, for example, had mainly written plays and drama... and I wonder if it wasn't heany who was a poet. And the scandinavian authors are heavily overrepresented in earlier years.
"People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realize how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world" - Calvin.
So, I have a list of authors here. It's a bit like Pokémon... Gotta catch them all.

Of all the Russian authors to receive the prize, Solzhenitsyn is the worst stylistically

There's an ITV film of the book with Keira Knightley. It looks utterly appalling.
