I still see the series primarily as their story of defeat, betrayal, revenge and eventually redemption. At least I hope so.
Which means I don't see a Stark character dying anymore (unless it's heroically and with purpose). Beyond that, not many characters are safe. Tyrion is too much everyone's favorite to kick the bucket. I hope.
A Jon-Daenerys coalition or even marriage seems likely just by the name of the whole series. But also too predictable. Or, who knows, they will be the ultimate enemies. Then again, considering the current status, Jon has other problems for now
This really has been Martin's great gift with his series: You can't predict much of anything. He just has to move a little faster now. There is a TV show on his heels.

Hrmm the people with it being about the Stark's redemption is who do we have left...Bran who at the end of the last book was becoming a tree (which will make him more powerful but only in a very specific way..still wonder if the death he witnessed as a tree was somehow important) Alya who is becoming a hired killer and John who is on the wall...I guess you could count their mother though she is undead really...oh well there is Sansa hmm she could be part of a redemption I guess as queen of the vale but the guy she has controlling her really is the closest we have to evil. I mean he did basically start this whole thing simply for his own advancement. The spider at least did seem to be looking out for the small folk to some extent...I don't know if this is going to be their redemption not much to work with. Are we completely away from parallels with the war of the roses...can that bit of history tell us anything?
prediciton for the end of the game of throne novels

I think that he has purposefully set his readers up so that they'd come to that conclusion.

I'd hope the Lannisters alone would have given them the impression inbreeding is a bad idea...

That would be so predictable and boring that I sincerely hope you are wrong. *NM*

I have been thinking about the endings too, and it has gotten me a bit concerned.

Since you touch on the subject - the show has made me rethink Varys completely.
