The final book in The Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger has been out for nearly a month now so I figure those who enjoy the books will have had a good chance to read it.
What did you think? Did it finish the series nicely? Did you like what she did with the characters? Do you wish there were going to be more books? And will you read Carriger's YA offering?

I loved this. I loved that Carriger didn't drag this past its prime and ended on such a high note. There were things about I did end up disliking (Floote's finish, not enough Channing Channing, the filler scenes back in England when the good stuff was going on in Egypt) and as usual, more of what I love so much about this series so much in the first place (Alexia herself, the ideas behind the soul and what it means for supernaturality, the endless humour and snark, the steampunkery, Lord Akeldama and his drones, Conall Maccon, Ivy's hilarity and so much more).
I will definitely be reading the YA series as well as Prudence's two book series later on. This is one of my favorite series (and now favorite authors!) and I am sad to see it go.
when you see only the darkness, know the light will soon return
