On another website, I casually posted a small, low-key & mild rant about one of the my favorite characters on the work that site explores, and the response from the site's moderators was "Are you insane?"

It may be that this site is not home to a lot of very peculiar points of view on genre fiction, but rather represents a good selection, and I might be a little out of step. I am not necessarily conceding I have been wrong, but it maybe that the wrongness I keep encountering is not particularly confined to this weird little community and my immediate family.

So I'm going to try to make a better effort to understand where other people are coming from when you all say weird things about books we've read. At the very least, I think it will help me diagnose your issues better.
