I'm with Jen - the second book is the best by far.

Second book in the Millennium trilogy, which begins with the more famous The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo. Next up will, unsurprisingly, be the third book in the trilogy, The Girl who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. I will then be able to watch and compare both the films of the first book without fear of spoilers, which was the original objective.
Largely because, let's face it, the only remarkable thing about the trilogy is Lisbeth Salander, so the more you get of her, the better the book. And much as I used to love his namesake Kalle Blomkvist, Mikael Blomkvist doesn't exactly have any depth as a character.

It's certainly got more excitement. The first one was more Agatha Christie, less action film. *NM*
