Thanks. I was definitely struck by how much Jack was based on King, and it takes either an odd or a dedicated author to take a character based strongly on himself and do what King did with Jack Torrance.


King isn't afraid to turn his real life issues into terrific and horrible characters. He does it in more than a few of his books. You write what you know, and his life has been an interesting one.
