.....a great storyteller is the most important quality of an author. Without a good story, style, pacing, tone, meaning and significance are irrelevant because nobody would read the book.
Also, Dickens is the definition of over description, so BS wins that one!
And, you can skim a lot with Dostoyevsky and not miss out on the story or the deeper meaning of it.
