I mean, I've started reading a book on Italian history in Italian to improve my vocabulary, but I need to read something in English. It's been too long. I also need to read something in German because I want to read more in German. I just got done with the Louis XIV bio in French so I think I'll alternate French-German this year, with one book in Italian that I'm reading parallel to that.
Either way, I've decided I have no challenge this year other than mastering Italian. What I want to read, I'll read, when I want to.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

That's the one set in Vienna, yes? Not my favourite, though the take on Vienna is fascinating.
