Haven't read this myself but Stephen Send a noteboard - 26/12/2011 07:05:33 PM
Habibi by Craig Thompson is meant to be very good. It is quite new and I haven't had a chance to give it a look yet but it has been very well reviewed.

I don't read that many graphic novels so I am not a fount of knowledge on the subject. I am currently treking through the Fables series by Bill Willingham which is very enjoyable but is a long series.
