it is very good. I am almost done with it.
I am also reading The Secret Pilgrim by John Le Carré, Great Expectations by Dickens, and Our Mutual Friend again (for teaching purposes -- second time this year).
I need to finish Nadja by Breton. And I would like to try my hand at Gide's The Vatican Cellars. Just because it sounds nifty. I should probably ideally finish Vargas Llosa's book for the foreign language novel challenge as well, but I am not sure I'll have the time (I am a little bitter that it is specifically ``novel'', not ``book'', because then it would have been in the box. I could of course count my English language reading, but that seems too simple.
I had hoped to pick up Pynchon before the end of the year as well, but it looks like that won't be happening.
Edit: oh, and I will of course read Helen DeWitt's new book and Eco's as well as soon as they arrive at my door.
