No, I'm not starting a thread for October reads...or at least not alone. Just a few questions:

1. Do you try to read "darker" fictions in October compared to other months?

Why would I? The beginning of Spring usually sees me digging out my gardening books (so I know how to kill everything dead).

2. Have you read (or heard of) any of the following: Michael Cisco, Thomas Ligotti, Ramsey Campbell, Poppy Z. Brite, CaitlĂn Kiernan?

No.

3. What is your main excuse for not reading and/or reviewing fictions?

I don't review because I don't have time. I leave the house at 6:30 in the morning and don't get home for 12 hours - what reading I do is quick, nasty and to the point.

Am I allowed to say that I prefer reading reviews than writing them?

4. Have you heard that Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus is one of THE books to be published this year? If so, have you bought it or are considering reading it?

Considering.

5. Art Spiegelman's Metamaus comes out on October 4. Two-parter:

A. Do you know who Art Spiegelman is?

The name rings a muted bell. Somewhere in the distance.

B. Are you intrigued by the book?

Should I be?

That's enough for now. It's getting late.

If a new month begins on a weekend, do any of the Admins recognize it before Monday? - 03/10/2011 04:08:32 AM 872 Views
