i have an issue with going out of my way to conform to a social norm

Joking aside, working on social skills has little to do with "conforming" and much more to do with making people feel comfortable, including yourself.

my issue is that i sometimes feel like i go out of my way to unnecassarily conform in order to please people i don't really know or care about

which basically mean i'm too nice even when i'm pissed off, just because i'm bothered about how they think about me

if anything i'm overly social, i'd love to be one of those people who can just rip into a rude person, but i'll just nod and say "oh no my fault"
