too long. He could have cut 50 to 100 pages out of the book easily and still kept the story intact. The most obvious unnecessary elongation was the story of Lucy. It took forever to reveal that Dracula was turning her into a vampire.

That was my main complaint but I have to say that when I finally finished the book I was glad I was done. I really wanted the story to wrap up by the end so I could move on reading something else.
