I'm actually more likely to read the long thread than tons of short ones

And if the Serial Contrarian wants his posts read, he is better off posting them in the long thread instead of starting a new one. I know that myself, and some others who will remain unnamed, tend to not read the Serial Contrarian's postings. But if his posts is stuffed in with tons of other posts, I might not notice it is his until I'm already reading it.

Very little of your rant here deserves a reply. Insults won't help at all.
