Drogon breathes flame at Daenerys in Daznak's pit, and her hair burns away again, but aside from that she is unharmed. Again. She is different because she is Azor Ahai reborn.
I have read the interviews too, but I wonder if ol' George was lying to us, because there is no Life for a Life thing to explain her surviving Drogon's flames.
Well, it's technically A Song of Ice and Fire not the FaI but that is nitpicking, so anyway. Also, Jon is not immune to fire, nor is Dany nor any other Targaryen. GRRM has stated this himself NUMEROUS times and even had a Targaryen die from drinking wildfire in the hopes of becoming a dragon (Aerion Brightflame). Dany only survived Drogo's pyre because she sacrificied Mirri Maaz Duur with a life for a life.
And I think the point of these books, or one of the points, is that there are NO absolute heroes. Jon, Dany, Eddard, Arya are all flawed and could be considered murderers, yet they're often cited as "the good guys".

I'm re-reading the SoFaI books, and rethinking all sorts things. One of these is, is Jon immune to fire?
Most people believe that Jon is really Rhaegar and Liana's son, and thus a member of house Targaryen.
Daenerys is immune to fire, being a 'real dragon', and Viserys, aqually a Targaryen, was oviusly not immune.
So, what about our dear Jon? I can't remember if he is or isn't.
I have to say, that I hope he is couse that will make my whole 'Daenerys an Jon are the real heroes of these books and will end up saving the world with dragons' theory much better.
What do you think?
