Not really. When I was eight or nine I'd buy every single hardcover coffee table type book on dinosaurs or prehistoric animals I could find. Since then, I just tend to buy books in whichever series I currently enjoy. The fact that I've a tendency to keep every single book I buy would suggest I do collect.

Yes. Around a third of what I read comes from libraries. I tend only to withdraw books that have only been borrowed once or twice, though.

I tend not to. One of my favourite book shops is a used book shop, though, but mainly because the also sell overflow stock cheaply.
