Obviously, you don't want to read this edition if you're just re-reading the book for fun, because the notes overwhelm the reader's ability to just read the book straight through. It's a critical apparatus and text all in one, essentially.

Even if they replaced the "canonical" version with this going forward, however, the book hasn't changed. Now perhaps I should pour myself some cognac and enjoy the decadence.
