Yes, I read Sword of Truth and sometimes I liked it and sometimes I despised it. Why did I read something I am so ambivalent about? A good question and I'm not sure why I torture myself so, but I seem to be unable to leave something started unfinished.
Anyway, yes sucker that I am I read the Law of Nines. At first I was interested because it was within our own world, and I love contemporary urban fantasy. And although it started out ok, it soon turned into a giant pile of regurgitation -- repeating all of the same ideas and themes of the SOT series.
Ugh.
