I get the impression that the ones I labeled "pompous" are word-porn; they exist to give the author an excuse to write a lot while saying very little, in the name of flowery language and delusions of depth.
The other three are similar, really, just not as much so. Certainly none of these strike me as something I'd be interested in reading.
Then again, I don't like poetry and a lot of it's value flies straight over my head. This might be the same thing.
