I'm hoping that Amazon's involvement will improve things, though. With the Amazon catalog behind the service, Overdrive's selection will undoubtedly improve. I assume the interface and DRM model will as well, with the Amazon budget pushing things forward. There's obviously no way to tell at this point, though. Still, Amazon has made a huge push into the digital market and this rental thing will be one of the best ways to advertise/demonstrate their ebook platform; I can't image that they'll allow it to fail.
