Man, I love those books. I know there are people here who do not care so much for them, but once in a while a series comes along that is perfect for me. This qualifies. I finished Small Favor yesterday, and I keep wanting to pick it up and read more. It's something about the way the characters are written, specifically with regard to their relationships with each other. They are staying in my mind, and I want more! I'm apparently a bit of a peeping tom.
I can say the books aren't perfect - I still have a bit of the old annoyance with his type of guilt, even though I understand it better now. And I'm wondering whether it's just me, but this particular installment seemed to have more explanations. I have to admit that there was some slight skimming. At any rate, it didn't detract enough to make any difference - I might even re-read that baby right now.
