I can't remember what the moon was like that night, but after learning about the effect of the moon on fae, he might have timed it to a full moon.

Or he could be hiding his Kvothe Name, and was able to dig it up for that night.

If it was his name, would he have been able to kill all the scraeling?

He said he picked that night carefully. There has to be something to that.


Did he say he picked that night in particular? Or just that he planned ahead and prepared for that night?
