So, team.

We had fun with January and February's Challenge, and our members shared many great reviews of the books they read.

I ended up finishing The Pilgrim's Progress with about two hours to spare in February. I still can't decide if I liked it or not, but I'm glad I read it. I might do a review of it at some point.

Following are the challenges for this twomonth.

The Not-So-Dirty Half Dozen Challenge task for March and April:

Read a book by an author from a country you've not read a book from before.

After realizing that I have never read a book by a Hungarian before, I was going to accept Larry's recent challenge and do Metropole by Ferenc Karinthy. Unfortunately my local library does not have that, and I don't believe in buying books. However, during my search I found another book by an author from Hungary: A Journey Round My Skull by Frigyes Karinthy, and that is the one I'll be reading.

And for extra challenging goodness: write a review of the book for us to enjoy here. :)

We'll see. :P

Genre Challenge

Quite simply, just read one book from each of the genres below before the year is out. Rereads are allowed; it's up to you whether you choose all new books or not. I probably won't.

- Historical Fiction/Alternative History

I am currently reading Grania by Morgan Llywelyn

- Western

The Pecos Kid by Dan Cushman, finished in March

- Horror

nothing yet

- Mystery

Trouble in Triplicate by Rex Stout, finished in March

- (Auto-) Biography

Enslaved By Ducks by Bob Tarte, finished in January
The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne, finished in February

- History

nothing yet

- Family chronicle

The Towers of Midnight by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, finished in January

- Allegory/parody/satire

The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan, finished in February
I don't want to be double-counting things, so I'm sure I'll read another one for this some time.

- Surrealist novel

Milk, Sulphate, and Alby Starvation by Martin Millar, finished in January (and reviewed!)

- Extra option for those who can: a novel in a foreign language

I'll try to read something in Spanish at some point.

And don't forget the 50 Book Challenge or picking up a book you've been meaning to read for ages.

I've read 9 books so far, so I guess I'm on track for 50. I have yet to begin Dune by Frank Herbert, my book I've been meaning to read for ages.

And do tell us how you're getting on with everything!

I think I just did. :P
