All of the books you mentioned are good books but for the most part they do tend towards fluff without any real depth to them. Maybe your taste in books has changed as you matured and you haven't changed the books you are buying to compensate. Try reading some none genre books are at least some genre books that are a little deeper or more complex. If you want top stay in speculative fiction try some of harder scfi like Hamilton or Reynolds or some of the darker fantasy like Donaldson.
If time is an issue try audio books. I never thought I would like them but i am surprised how much I have enjoyed some of them. I have noticed I have less tolerance for bad prose than I do with reading a book and the narrators matters a lot but now I almost always have written book and an audio book that I am reading at the same time.

Who else has (regretfully) lost much of their joy for reading, and what are your reasons?

I write most of my notes with pen and paper, unless it's a specific idea on a project I've started.

I still think the best solution is to just sit down with some Wodehouse. *NM*

It's more likely the internet, and, to a lesser extent, TV than it is games.

You're either too tired or you've simply outgrown certain kinds of genres/books
