Granted, I think you might be pleasantly surprised by how little your reading speed actually has decreased. I know I feel like the slowest reader ever when I'm doing school work, but I've been blasting through the recent Malazan novels.
I read at night before I go to bed. Having a set "reading time" helps me get into the mood.
