Not only that, but I also usually read as much or more non-fiction than fiction, so there are a LOT of "great writers" and "great books" I haven't read. That's one reason I can't bring myself to read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi books. It would be like switching from a History International airing of Kenneth Clark's "Civilisation" to "Deal or No Deal". It's a step from the intriguing to the mindless.
