Just finished reading I Shall Wear Midnight, and I will post a review in the next couple of days as I can't see that anybody else has. But first, I wanted to ask a few questions about what you think of Sir Terry.

1) have you read any Terry Pratchett?

Yes, apparently I had

2) if so was it Discworld or something else or both? How many books?

All of discworld except for soul music which I must read sometime, Good Omens, the Truckers series, Nation and Johnny and the Dead

3) what is your overall opinion of Pratchett's writing?

It started off amusing bur flawed then improved constantly up to Nights Watch, one of my favourite books of all time. Those after have also been very good but not hit the same heights for me.

4) which are your favourite arc of books by TP? (e.g Tiffany Aching, Vimes, Strata, the truckers etc.)

The Watch books, though I like books in every arc.

5) have you noticed a change in his style or quality since his diagnosis with Alzheimers?

Not in quality, I thought that Nation and Unseen Academicals and I Shall Wear Midnight were all strong showings.

6) do you think it is right for an author to be knighted on the basis of fiction he has written?

As others say, if anyone involved in sport or arts can be knighted then authors should too. TP has spread much joy with his works and provoked a lot of thought as well, so I feel he thoroughly deserves it. I was just interested in other people's thoughts.

7) what is your favourite individual Pratchett book?

Nights Watch, though I also love Thud and The Amazing Maurice and The Wyrd Sisters

do you also think this is his best work?

Yes

9) do you ever find that you don't think of your favourite book by an author etc as the best one? Why is this (not) so?

Yes, because I am over sentimental and often enjoy being interested by a good idea with flawed execution more than something with a slightly less inspired idea executed perfectly. Plus I am a sucker for Awesome moments even if they don't always make sense.

10) have you read I Shall Wear Midnight? What did you think?

Yes, it was rather stronger than other Aching books IMO and overall very good. As I said I'll post a review soon.

11)do you prefer TP's funny satires, his somewhat darker mire serious works (generally still satirical) something in between or do you see his work as something else? Or do you hate all of it?

With TP, the darker the better most of the time, I find I'm currently enjoying seeing how characters react to being tested.

12) have you seen any of the tv sealskins of his works? How do you think they compare to the novels?

No. And that should read adaptions. Really, it should.

I may post more questions later

Thanks for playing,

Jac xx
And the answer came to her instantly: pride. Oh, you hear them say it's a sin; you hear them say it goes before a fall. the shepherd prides himself on keeping the wolf out from the flock. We pride ourselves on making a good history of our lives, a good story to be told.
