I think you were close in guessing 2010, according to wiki its nearly finished but then again..thats wiki!! so who knows but i think it will be finished within the next 4 months for certain if not much sooner!!!! and that yes it will be ready for the xmas market. As for it being good bad or otherwise. I think Martins main problem is that he is a perfectionist and the last book was not considered perfection and yes he panders to the fans. Anyway hence why its taken so long i belive. if all goes well, i hope the next in line comes out faster because of the success of a dance with dragons, i hope!!! anyway check out wiki!
