Hey Rafonauts

A few questions for you on your reading habits.

1 - Approximately how many books do you read in the average month?


I have read 63 and it's September... so about seven. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Last year around this time, I was at 100.

2 - Of those books, what ratio would be Sci-fi/Fantasy compared with Not SFF? (Ie SFF:NotSFF)


Ooofah. Probably 3:1

3 - (with credit to Tom) Which of these do you read:

Fantasy
check

Sci-fi
less regularly, but check

Historical Fiction
check

Classics
check

Thrillers

Crime/Mystery

Other fiction stuff (like Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro etc)

Non-fiction
check

Graphic Novels

Manga

Plays

Poetry

Short stories (please specify what genre they might belong to)

Magazines

Newspapers
check. local, Phoenix newspaper and whatever odd ones I find.

4 - Do you read every day?


Yes.

5 - Do you find it easy to discuss the books you read?


Depends on how much I liked/dislikes it. If I had a strong reaction to it, be it hatred or love, I can easily talk. If it makes less of an impression either way.... not so much.

5a - If not, do you know what might make it easier?

6 - Do you buy books as soon as they are published?


Depends on author, if I have been waiting, or if it is outrageously priced.
