Hmm.(New) ? Send a noteboard - 21/12/2010 02:21:40 AM
The following are in no particular order...

American Gods by Neil Gaimen. I was in Switzerland at the time and it was one of the first books in a really long time that I could read for hours at a time. While the book was extremely enjoyable it would not have been one of my favorites if not for the excess reading time.

Luck in the Shadows by Lynn Flewelling
Luck in the Shadows was a very enjoyable book and again, I had so much time to read it as I was away at camp. But other than that I actually liked the book for the most of the plot...one thing I didn't like was the Seregil plot...his gayness you know?

Keeping Time by Stacey McGlynn...I never actually read this book But I can't miss a chance for a little product placement right? Right? OK I'm sorry...

Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson...Probably one of the most intense fantasies I've ever read. I like the plot, the many characters and the writing style. The second book was not nearly as good, yes I still enjoyed it, but it brought my rating of the series from about a nine to a six. the third book is redeeming it however.

Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat...This is a non-fiction memoirish kinda book about the authors stay with some wolves. Most non-fiction I can not read all at once, I have to take it in sections so my brain can process the information. This one, however, I read all at once in the space of a few days. It had interesting information on wolves and enough plot to keep me entertained. plus I love wolves, so it helped.

I guess I must now add Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson. Legolas got me thinking about that book again and I realized the fact that I liked GotM better was imprinted in my mind such that it did not make it to my top ten of 2010. Still though, I am sticking to my position and like GotM better(see below post.) In general though I like Erikson's world, and writing. So while the plot was still,to me, a little more boring than the first I did like the book a lot. But come on! No Toc the Younger, or Paran, or Tattersail or(oh golly I forgot his name!) Or Kruppe or anyone! Yesyes it was still a good book.

Memories of Ice by Steven Erikson...Does anything really need to be said? That. Was. Awesome.

Neverwhere by Neil Gaimen...Umm yeah. Fillers here, I liked this book and...might fall I guess seventh for the year...I didn't read to much.

Yeah I ran out again. Sigh...

Oh and my username is what it is because I couldn't think of a better username...I'm not trying to be obnoxious.

Cancer never fights fair. Rest in peace Mrs. Cohen, you will be missed.
