I've tried Queen Loanna, Foucault's Pendulum and a very small bit of Name of the Rose (by then I was jaded). I always think I should try again, and I probably will this winter when I'm not all work-stressed. We shall see.
And shame, I was gonna mention Queen Loana. Name of the Rose is great but definitely discouraging at first, especially if you refuse to skip entire pages when his tangents get too bad.
Does this ever make you depressed?
