Based on the info given out by his publishers a few weeks back, today's announcement means four chapters to go. Of course, GRRM has never confirmed that that account was 100% accurate, so who knows?
But yeah, encouraging. Although the confirmed news of S1 of the TV series wrapping was a bit more solid.

I hadn't heard how much is left. 4 chapters left but he does revise and re-revise finished chapters so he might not be as close to done as it seems.
GRRM just finished 2 chapters (wrote one, re-revised another). Anticipation level is high!
