Looking for some suggestions... Egwene Dreamwalker Send a noteboard - 03/12/2010 04:01:23 AM
Alright, so it's been an age and a half since I posted anything here... but I thought I'd give it a whirl because I'm running low on ideas.

I've finally gotten into a routine of reading again (my unwind time after lots of work) and have worked my way through a couple of books I wanted to read... like The Way of Kings and The Gathering Storm. I'm not yet reading the Towers of Midnight because I'm waiting for the ebook... (I love my Nook).

So now I'm looking for something to read, but I have some special... requirements.

One, I want to read the book on my Nook. I can't carry around a big bulky book with me the way I can my Nook... so I'm looking only for suggestions published in eBook form. (Preferably for purchase, since I'd like to give the authors/publishers their hard earned money.)

Two, is language and content. If you remember me, you may remember my prudish ways. If not, that's okay -- suffice it to say I like things G rated (PG can be okay). Extensive violence and harsh language leads to me nightmares and make me tense. Since the goal of reading is to de-stress, that doesn't work out so well.

Some books I love:
Wheel of Time (admittedly, more lately)
Pride and Prejudice (and all the Jane Austen books)
The Count of Monte Cristo
Pretty much anything Brandon Sanderson has written. I'm hooked.

I've read a lot of Edding's books. They're a little simple for my taste, but decent quick reads... I have read and enjoyed Harry Potter.

So... that's looking like... Fantasy and some of the classics.

I'm sure this post is rambling too much, but that's the way my mind is clicking tonight. My apologies. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you aren't sure if its available in ebook form, that's okay. I can search that out for myself. Thanks!
Still kicking...
