I am happy for you that you enjoyed his books. I have my own guilty pleasures that are not high literature. I can suspend belief. I am not sure what it is that made the difference with his books. I think it is the psychological reaction people get when something or someone gets over-exposed or over pimped. It is too early for my brain to remember the word for it.
