I have been trying to get into a few books over the past couple of weeks and I just can't seem to find anything to interest me for more than a day or two. I'm looking for suggestions for new reading material. I am a sci-fi/fantasy fan so that's mainly what I'm looking for. I'm willing to step out of that comfort zone for a really good book though. Below is a list of books I have read and enjoyed.
Books/Series I have read:
The Wheel of Time series - Robert Jordan
The Dark Tower series - Stephen King
Mistborn trilogy - Brandon Sanderson
Elantris - Brandon Sanderson
Warbreaker - Brandon Sanderson
The Way of Kings - Brandon Sanderson
The Sword of Truth series - Terry Goodykind (yes, I enjoyed it. It was a quick easy read with plenty of action.)
Harry Potter series - JK
Rawling (spelling?)
A Space Odyssey - Arthur C. Clarke
A Time Odyssey - Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter
various Star Trek and Star Wars books
These are just a few of the books that I've read, but they pretty much show off what I like to read most of the time. I gave GRR Martin a chance and gave up half way through the first book of aSoIaF (A Game of Thrones, right?), so that's off the table for me.

Call me an opportunist, but this seems like a good moment to recommend our upcoming Book Club book.

Agreed. And you should listen to me, because I gave up on Martin at about the same point. *NM*

It had been a while since you'd mentioned it... admirable self-restraint, really. *NM*
