I remember picking up a comic book version of The Trial and for the first time entering that whole world. I was deeply disturbed. Also, reading 1984 for the first time was deeply disturbing, though I don't know if that's because I was a teenager. I don't think so though. Oh yeah. House of Leaves. Weeks, man; weeks of obsession. It's a very enjoyable kind of terror, though. I think sublimity is a strange beauty; mostly fear, really, but still beautiful. Weird. Hm. I have to learn more about that. . . But! To answer your question: I want to be alone, chain smoke, drink some rum and listen to music without vocals.
