While his reading skills are coming along nicely, he won't be doing the rwading, my husband and I will. I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for chapter books to read to my boy. All the books I can think of are a little too old for him. The only other one I can think of is Little House on the Prairie series. Keep in mind: I don't want to give him nightmares.
Any suggestions?

Okay then. I thought the first one would give nightmares as a bedtime story though.

We read the Hobbit to Taran at that age. Peter and Wendy was fun.
