You people who own one: did environmental considerations come into play when you bought yours?

No.

Would an e-Reader be better for the environemnt? Obviously fewer forests need to be chopped down, which is lovely for the air, but how green are the components?

I haven't the faintest idea, I'm afraid.

I'm almost ready to demand one for a present, and (honestly) apart from the functional aspect of having loads of books in a small space, the green factor is really the deciding point for me.

Thoughts?

Demand! They are wondrous and beautiful.

I have a Kindle and I love it almost as much as Danny boy. Almost. I will still buy physical books, though, most especially if it's something I've been waiting for. I like looking at them in the bookcase and my brain might explode if I was missing one or two from a series.
