However, I don't know how he can live with himself if he procrastinates and never finishes. I mean, we are talking the crown jewel in his life's work here.

I can barely live with myself if I commit to taking a class and not following through -- I can't imagine becoming that big of a flake.

Finish what you start. Fulfill your vision. Those are important values. GRRM should do it for himself, not his fans.
