I personally would rather him review a novel in English, because it's pretty much the only sort of novel I can read. It's reasonable to assume that most of his readership voted the way they did for similar reasons. If I were multilingual, of course, it would be a different story, but it's kind of hard to blame people (well, North Americans) for not being fluent in multiple languages.
If one is very well-read, as most of Larry's readers are, and has a great interest in literature, surely one should read in other languages as well, to get access to still different books. Obviously one can't read everything in the original language, but the more the better, surely.
