I finished a reread yesterday myself, and I think your comments hit the nail on the proverbial head.
One scene on the comedic end that I will never forget, beyond the ones you mention, is the culmination of his attempts to harass the librarian at Upingham. I can't speak for how it comes across in print, but Fry's narration of the scene gets me on the floor every time.
Or the story about the man who shouted "flaming pigging murderer" after him. I have heard him recount it elsewhere, but I still laughed out loud.
Do we know whether The Fry Chronicles will encompass just Stephen's time at Cambridge, or go into his early acting career as well? I can't wait until 13 September, in either case. I will post a review of the audio version as soon as I finish it.
I have no idea. For some reason I think of it as being the Cambridge years, but that may just a thought that has formed in my mind independently of any actual facts.

FYI, a Youtube search for "Fry Chronicles Clip" will bring up a few monologues previewing the book.
