Great review. RandAllThor Send a noteboard - 02/09/2010 12:38:14 AM
I finished a reread yesterday myself, and I think your comments hit the nail on the proverbial head.

One scene on the comedic end that I will never forget, beyond the ones you mention, is the culmination of his attempts to harass the librarian at Upingham. I can't speak for how it comes across in print, but Fry's narration of the scene gets me on the floor every time.

Do we know whether The Fry Chronicles will encompass just Stephen's time at Cambridge, or go into his early acting career as well? I can't wait until 13 September, in either case. I will post a review of the audio version as soon as I finish it.

FYI, a Youtube search for "Fry Chronicles Clip" will bring up a few monologues previewing the book. - 08/09/2010 09:03:08 PM 1535 Views
