I say that as a ravenous King fan. Just don't.

So much potential, so many nicely established characters, so many possible ways the plot could have developed and it all turned to crap. My least favorite King book in years.

I think it was very successful at what King intended...developing the characters and the plot of what happened as a result of the appearance of the Dome.

I don't think it was successful at resolving why the Dome was there or why it was ultimately removed. But I really don't think that was what King cared about, the story he wanted to tell. And I was okay with that because I enjoyed (and was freaked out by) the story he wanted to tell very much.

If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.
