So I mostly read Fantasy books (Jordan, Martin, Sanderson) but I've been trying to read new genres. I used to read a lot of Science Fiction when I was younger, but I fell out with it after devouring The Wheel of Time.
Anyways as part of my attempt to read new genres I have moved back to Science Fiction (among other genres) and I really enjoyed Tad Williams' Otherland series. I was wondering if anyone has read it, and if so what books would you recommend for someone who liked it?
Thanks so much.

but i'll recommend
China Mieville (again, i see someone above did too) along with what was said The City and the City too, it's more of a detective novel
Anubis Gate by Tim Powers
Books of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe
Grass by Sheri S Tepper
You'll notice those three are all scifi "masterworks" publications, it's a good way to find books, just check reviews first they're not all that great
clive barker's abarat and weaveworld
alistair reynolds revelation space, redeption ark, absolution gap and chasm city are all "hard" space opera scifi (whatever that means) but are all good reads
