?????? 's interesting post got me thinking about what books I hate. Which got me thinking about books that I should hate, but actually secretly enjoy. Here's a few books I'm embarrassed to say I enjoyed:
Dragonlance - the first three; I know in many ways it epitomizes all that is wrong in fantasy, but I still reread it on occasion when I want quick, easy entertainment.
Ditto Feist's Riftwar Saga.
Anne of Green Gables - Yeah, I'm man enough to admit it....
Magic of Recluse novels - The few I've read I didn't mind. They are so formulaic, that I find something comforting in them. The best part is you can read them with your eyes closed.

I used to have the complete run of target novilsations of the Dr Who series as well as The Three Investigators which were rather difficult to get in Australia at the time.
So ...what books are you embarrassed to say you liked?
